I have owned this chest and have been happy with it for about 20 years. My mother's silver chest was worn out, so late last year I bought the same chest for her. Mine is engraved (3 initials) on the gold-colored plaque on top. I called the manufacturer, and they were great and said they could engrave it for a cost (I think it was $18 additional).

The engraving isn't as nice as the engraving was 20 years ago. The best part - they put the plaque on upside down. I think if I find a small enough hex key I can take it off and reverse it. In the meantime, it makes us laugh every time we use it. Other than that, I'm happy with the chest. It does a servicable job of keeping the silver from tarnishing, it looks nice, the drawer continues to work, it holds quite a bit.
