I wouldn't use this for gaming or design, but for business application it's a perfect deal! Value priced and feature rich, this little processor will do the trick. I paired it with Intel 40 GB X25-V Value SATA II MLC Solid-State Drive - Retail Box SSDSA2MP040G2R5 and it's fast! POST to Log on is about 8 seconds!

For people out there looking to build a budget gaming PC or just upgrading...

Look no further, this CPU is impressive for its price. With the system specs listed below, I have it overclocked to 3.63GHz no problems at all. Overclocking is suggested as long as you have a reason to and if you have sufficient cooling, preferably liquid cooling but high end heatsink/fans do just fine from what I've heard. It runs at 30C idle and that's with it O.C.'d and never breaks the 50C point in graphics intensive games. It is not meant to be a gaming CPU and having tried it in games non-O.C. at full graphics 1080p it ran okay. Of course I realized there was bottlenecking going on between it and the GTX 470 big time. So I used ASUS TurboV evo software which comes with the mobo to auto-tune the CPU. It is super easy to do. It does all of the tests in front of you so that you can see what changes it makes, always having the option to switch back to default settings. I was delighted to see it jump from 3.1GHz to 3.63GHz, it makes a big difference. I now play games like BC2 and SC2 with graphics settings all the way up smoothly at 60fps. When overclocked, I guarantee that this will outperform those 4 core CPU's you might be looking at. For less than 70 bucks, this is a great deal and I highly recommend it.
